Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia Southern Chapter (PAMSo) is the southern regional chapter of Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia (PAM), representing architects and industry professionals in Johor and the surrounding regions. As a key professional body, PAMSo is committed to promoting architectural excellence, sustainability, and innovation while upholding the highest professional standards in the built environment.

We actively engage with government agencies, industry stakeholders, and the wider community to advocate for policies that support responsible urban development and architectural advancement. Through leadership, advocacy, and collaboration, PAMSo remains at the forefront of architectural discourse, ensuring that our members and the profession continue to thrive in an ever-evolving built environment.

What We Do
Through continuous professional development (CPD) programs, knowledge-sharing initiatives, networking events, and collaborative projects, PAMSo provides a dynamic platform for architects to grow, connect, and contribute to the profession. We are dedicated to enriching the architectural landscape through strategic partnerships, public awareness campaigns, and initiatives that highlight the importance of design in shaping sustainable and livable cities.

Commitment to the Future
Beyond professional development, our commitment extends to nurturing future generations of architects, supporting education, and inspiring innovation within the profession. PAMSo collaborates with industry partners under DECCO+ (Developer, Contractors, and Consultants), which includes REHDA, IEM, JMBA, RISM, MIP, ILAM, PArM, ACAM, and mGBC, as well as the local authorities of Greater Johor Bahru, namely MBJB, MBIP, MBPG, and MPKu. We also maintain strong bonds with educational partners such as UTM, UTHM, KYPJ, and Raffles University, fostering the next generation of architectural professionals.

Our National Affiliation
As a chapter of Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia (PAM), we align with the institute’s broader vision while addressing the unique needs and aspirations of architects in the southern region. PAM is the national professional institute representing architects in Malaysia, with a mission to promote the advancement of architecture and the architectural profession for the betterment of society.
With a membership of approximately 5,000 architects, graduates, and students, PAM is represented across Malaysia, including Sabah, Sarawak, Penang (Northern Chapter), Johor (Southern Chapter), and the East Coast. PAMSo, as the southern representative, plays a crucial role in supporting and advancing the architectural community in this region.
